EROAD ELD API Documentation
API Documentation
If you are a Chaine customer, you don't need to refer to the EROAD API documentation to connect. If you are looking for a carrier to connect their EROAD for tracking, simply invite them in your account settings on Chaine. If you are a carrier and want to connect your EROAD for tracking to share with other customers, fill out the Chaine ELD form, or if you have a Chaine account via an invite from your custojer, go to Settings > Apps > Fine the EROAD App > Click Enable > Enter Username and Password. That's it.
Overview of EROAD ELD
EROAD ELD (Electronic Logging Device) refers to a hardware and software system developed to align with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) ELD requirements for commercial truck drivers. This ELD solution assists trucking businesses in adhering to the ELD regulation by digitally documenting and overseeing their drivers' hours of service (HOS). The gadget records and communicates HOS information in real-time, resulting in better compliance, enhanced efficiency, and a decreased likelihood of fines. EROAD ELD also provides extra functionalities, including vehicle diagnostics, driver safety, and fleet management resources.
Chaine's EROAD Integration Process
Chaine smoothly incorporates Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) by linking to the device's api and merging it with their platform. This enables trucking companies and their customers to access real-time data for shipments that have EROAD deviceds. This will help to boost compliance, optimize operations, and minimize administrative tasks. The integration typically entails connecting the ELD to the Chaine platform through an API, which allows the platform to gather and present the ELD data on the Chaine platform or accessible via the Chaine API.
